Amherst Highway Department - Electronic Waste Recycling (including computers) is available at 1042 N. Forest Rd., Williamsville, NY. Items may be dropped off weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm.

Amvets Thrift Centers

Buffalo City Mission - Items are placed in various warehouses around the city where needy people can choose items they need.

Dress For Success Buffalo - Provides disadvantaged women with interview appropriate attire.

Erie County Department of Environment & Planning - Info on Free Community Hazardous Waste Recycling Events

Erie County Department of Health - For disposal of expired medication and used needles, click Medication and Needle Disposal Sites to open PDF of sites where medications can be dropped off.

Freecycle Buffalo - A Yahoo! Group that connects people who have stuff with people who want it. A quick way to get rid of things.

Goodwill Attended Donation Centers Accept and recycles (in cooperation with Dell) TVs and computers in any condition, and all working electronics.

Habitat ReStore - Accepts (and will pick up) donations of building materials, appliances (large & small), furniture, hardware, tools, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, etc.

Salvation Army Donation Centers

St. Pauly Clothing Drop Box - Accepts usable clothing, shoes, blankets, etc and distributes to needy people, in the US and Third World countries. (The map on their site is not working properly, but should be fixed soon. For now contact Ben at st.pauly.wny@gmail.com for your closest dropoff location).

Vietnam Veterans of America

Vive, Inc - Provides direct support to refugees in Buffalo. Contact them to donate items.

American Micro, Inc. - Computer Installation and Repair, local Williamsville, family owned business, honest, reliable. Personally use and recommend to family.

1-800- Got Junk Buffalo - Remove unwanted items, they recycle whenever possible.

California Closets - Provides in-home custom design and installation of closet and all types of storage. I have personally used the Buffalo, NY location and can highly recommend their quality and service.  See their custom installations in my home.

Hazman - Local Tonawanda Company that recycles Hazardous Waste.

Ingold Law - Provides complete legal estate care. Elizabeth is excellent, especially with elderly clients.

Shred-it - Located in Williamsville. Drop off a trash bag of shredding for a very reasonable price.
